- Matty.......blindly supporting Israeli actions isn't going to help solve problems in the middle east. Distancing the US from some of the more provocative Israeli actions is a smart move if you want to mediate the solution. Hezbollah and Hamas are terrorist organizations.

- I agree that the UN Human Rights Council is a joke. However, in this case, I agree with what they're saying. If Israel truly wants peace, they should stop building new settlements on Palestinian lands.

- The NRA is just trying to muddy the water enough so nothing changes. Columbine High School had armed guards and it didn't stop what happened there. Virginia Tech had armed campus police and it didn't stop what happened there. There are other ways to deal with the problem.

- It's too bad this issue has become more about politics rather than facts. It's obvious that Republicans are trying to undermine the President (what else is new?) and score political points on this issue.
